Rachel Shorts joined the Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital team in January 2025, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience in both primary and specialty veterinary care. Her journey in veterinary medicine began in 2002 as a kennel assistant, and over the years, she has worked in every support role within a veterinary practice, gaining a deep understanding of clinic operations and patient care.

Driven by her passion for the field, Rachel pursued a degree in Veterinary Technology before transitioning to a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management. This unique blend of clinical experience and business expertise allows her to lead with both compassion and strategic insight. As Hospital Manager, Rachel is committed to fostering a supportive, efficient, and compassionate environment for both clients and staff. 

Outside of her professional role, Rachel spends most of her time at the barn, supporting her teenage daughter’s equestrian passion for eventing. Their fur family includes a horse, two dogs, and a hedgehog.
