Dr. Jim is a dedicated and experienced veterinarian with a strong background in animal science and special interest in internal medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from West Virginia University and went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) from Ross University. His clinical training included rotations at both Oklahoma State University and the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, where he gained diverse and in-depth clinical experience.

Since beginning his veterinary career, Dr. Jim has practiced in both southwestern Pennsylvania and Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. In 2015, he joined the team at Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital, where he continues to provide compassionate, high-quality care with a special interest in internal medicine.

Outside the office, Dr. Jim enjoys spending time in nature—gardening, hiking, and restoring old farm equipment. He and his wife are proud parents of four children and grandparents to several grandchildren. Their home is shared with two beloved dogs, Fletcher and Gypsy, and a cat named Batman.
