Dr. Clara Fellows
Dr. Clara Fellows (formerly Nelson) graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2015, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Since then, she has practiced both small and large animal medicine in the Winchester, Virginia area. Her clinical interests include small animal surgery, where she has spent extensive time in the operating suite and developed advanced skills in a wide range of soft tissue procedures.
Beyond her work in the Shenandoah Valley, Dr. Clara has participated in multiple veterinary mission trips to Haiti with Christian Veterinary Mission. Her contributions have included supporting community veterinary clinics, leading rabies vaccination initiatives, and training local veterinary agents.
Dr. Clara and her husband recently welcomed their first child, a baby boy, and are cherishing this new chapter in their lives. In addition to motherhood, she has a deep passion for agriculture and enjoys living and working on her family’s farm in the Winchester area. She is actively involved in raising and showing pigs and lambs, and is dedicated to youth agricultural education through her role as a coach for the Frederick County 4-H Livestock Judging and Stockman’s teams.
Dr. Clara shares the long-standing vision of Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital—to provide compassionate, high-quality care to the pets and families of the Shenandoah Valley. She is excited to lead the Seven Bends team and looks forward to caring for the community's beloved pets!
