Boarding Services
As pet owners, we sometimes want to get away for a weekend or an extended vacation. If you are able to find someone to come to your home and care for your pets in your absence, they are the happiest. But if no one is available to do that, consider leaving your pet in our care. We have multiple dog runs and cages in our new facility dedicated to boarding. Your dog will be walked outside in our exercise yard twice daily. Should your pet have special nutritional needs, please bring along an adequate supply of his/her regular food. Otherwise we will feed the prescription food Purina EN, a diet specifically for intestinal distress which can occur from the stress of boarding. For dogs who stay longer than three days, a complimentary bath will be done before going home. Cats are housed in a separate room with a view of a courtyard with bird feeders which they can watch all day through plexiglass-backed cages. They are fed Science Diet unless you provide their regular diet.

Special needs boarders may be accommodated depending on their conditions. We can accommodate diabetics and boarders who need medications easily. If, however, your pet is nursing pups, is paralyzed, or is very aged and needs assistance to get up and get around, or is a puppy younger than 16 weeks without its full series of vaccines it may be better for the pet for you to arrange in-home care during your absence. Call the office and we may be able to recommend a pet sitter for you. All boarding dogs and cats are required to be current on their routine vaccinations. These can be done upon admission to our kennel while your animal is boarding. Special attention is warranted for dogs with regard to kennel cough prevention in the boarding situation. We require kennel cough vaccines to be administered within six months of a boarding appointment. If your dog needs a kennel cough vaccine update, it must be administered at least five days before their boarding appointment. We do this to protect your dog as well as all the other dogs in our facility.
