Dr. Coston with Snaffle
Dr. Coston was born in Denver, Colorado, but as a preacher’s kid has lived in seven states. He holds a BA from Southern College in Tennessee and BS and DVM degrees from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 1987. He completed an internship in Rochester, New York after graduating from veterinary school. He then joined a practice in Waynesboro, Virginia where he practiced for three and a half years. In 1992 he founded Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Coston’s professional interests include orthopedic surgery, ultrasound, and making lasting friendships with his patients and their owners. He is married to Cynthia and they have two boys, Jace and Tucker. Dr. Coston has been a contributing columnist in The Bryce Mountain Courier for many years and has a book about his experiences in practice coming out in 2009. Outside of work, he enjoys writing, photography, golf, reading, and spending time at the lake with family and friends. The Coston’s have two cats, Flinn and Webster, and a dog, Starr.
