History

Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1992 by Dr. Bruce Coston. He practiced by himself from opening until 1998 when he hired his first veterinary associate. The second doctor joined the practice in 2003; the third in 2005. The rapid growth of the practice required additional space for medical services and boarding and better access with adequate parking. To meet these needs, Dr. Coston began construction of the current facility in 2005, moving in to the new building in March of 2006 after 14 years in the original practice site. The new building boasts a 9,500 square foot complex comprising boarding facilities to house some 55 or so dogs and cats; a leased, independent grooming business; a state-of-the-art medical wing with six examination rooms, a surgical suite with room for three surgery tables, a large medical ward, treatment room with dental table, a fully equipped in-house clinical laboratory, a special procedures room for ultrasound studies, an isolation ward for patients with contagious diseases; and a crematory. The new facility places Seven Bend Veterinary Hospital in the top tier of veterinary practices in the state and allows the services of Seven Bends Veterinary Hospital to continue to expand to meet the needs of our patients.
